I've given my characters a healthy dose of Veritaserum and now they have to tell the truth. What does this mean for you? Ask my characters questions about anything and everything and they will truthfully answer it.

That's right kids, they can't lie. Clearly it is time for great evil.

As a note, I'm making this Rift-only (hence why it's in this journal), so the people you can ask would be Babel, Arlin, Huck and Katja.

I do own a shop. I don't recall ever outright lying to you about my age. In fact, I think a good deal of the things I said to you were true.

I don't feel strongly enough about you one way or the other to hate you.

Hardly; If I was, I would have lost my wings long ago. I'm Species.

Lose your wings? Species?

[Sigh] It's a colloquialism, of sorts. Angels have wings. If an angel does something...morally wrong, they Fall and become human, losing their wings. It's a bit more complicated and nuanced than that, but I don't particularly feel like explaining it further. Suffice to say, were I an angel, I would have Fallen long ago.

Well of course they do, шальная вещь, they're wings. Feathers and all, though I suppose some of us are graced with leathery ones as well, but most are feathered and really, most feathers make noise. I suppose they wouldn't if you had owl wings or some shit like that, but I wouldn't know.

And no, I won't, because that would spoil the surprise!

What do I need to do to get real work in this bloody world?

That entirely depends on your definition of 'real work'.

The stuff I'm trained for, like assassinations and hacking and, hell, I'd event take bodyguarding gigs if they paid.

From my own experience, you need to be recruited into the business. I haven't particularly paid attention to how my employers specifically pick people, though we do have a recruiter -- not that that stops the rest of us when we feel the need. I merely happened to fall out of a Rift into their hands. Of the two I've picked up, one was a similar situation.

Though I will admit that those talents, if you're good enough, are desirable.
