[ooc] TRUTH MEME

I've given my characters a healthy dose of Veritaserum and now they have to tell the truth. What does this mean for you? Ask my characters questions about anything and everything and they will truthfully answer it.

That's right kids, they can't lie. Clearly it is time for great evil.

As a note, I'm making this Rift-only (hence why it's in this journal), so the people you can ask would be Babel, Arlin, Huck and Katja.

Technically yoinked via proxy from [livejournal.com profile] humanmapquest and, you know, everyone else ever.

How much do you really know?

Everything I see and feel and hear--
Remember it all.

--every hurt
--every conversation
--every life form
--every end.

More than you think I do.

Can't shut it off

Everything--

I--

Can we fix it?

Can I help?

No. It's

inevitable.

What aren't you telling me?

Re: AARON (ARLIN)

[identity profile] kineticmachine.livejournal.com 2009-06-28 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
Over a thousand years' worth of life. I'm afraid that would be a bit long to spell out in a single sitting.

...Wow.

Did you say ANYTHING to me that was true?

I do own a shop. I don't recall ever outright lying to you about my age. In fact, I think a good deal of the things I said to you were true.

I don't feel strongly enough about you one way or the other to hate you.

You feel funny in my head. Are you an angel?

[identity profile] kineticmachine.livejournal.com 2009-06-28 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Hardly; If I was, I would have lost my wings long ago. I'm Species.

[identity profile] designed2kill.livejournal.com 2009-06-28 04:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[Confused Luka is confused.]

Lose your wings? Species?

[identity profile] kineticmachine.livejournal.com 2009-06-28 04:55 pm (UTC)(link)
[Sigh] It's a colloquialism, of sorts. Angels have wings. If an angel does something...morally wrong, they Fall and become human, losing their wings. It's a bit more complicated and nuanced than that, but I don't particularly feel like explaining it further. Suffice to say, were I an angel, I would have Fallen long ago.

I--the Species are a race that came before humans, where I'm from. I'm a wanderer, here.

Do your wings make a sound?
Sometimes I swear I can hear them
You left poison mercury dreams
Will you reveal what it means?

[identity profile] pressthatbutton.livejournal.com 2009-06-29 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Well of course they do, шальная вещь, they're wings. Feathers and all, though I suppose some of us are graced with leathery ones as well, but most are feathered and really, most feathers make noise. I suppose they wouldn't if you had owl wings or some shit like that, but I wouldn't know.

And no, I won't, because that would spoil the surprise!

What do I need to do to get real work in this bloody world?

Re: Arlin

[identity profile] kineticmachine.livejournal.com 2009-06-29 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
That entirely depends on your definition of 'real work'.

Re: Arlin

[identity profile] killwithmymind.livejournal.com 2009-06-29 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
The stuff I'm trained for, like assassinations and hacking and, hell, I'd event take bodyguarding gigs if they paid.

Re: Arlin

[identity profile] kineticmachine.livejournal.com 2009-07-02 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
From my own experience, you need to be recruited into the business. I haven't particularly paid attention to how my employers specifically pick people, though we do have a recruiter -- not that that stops the rest of us when we feel the need. I merely happened to fall out of a Rift into their hands. Of the two I've picked up, one was a similar situation.

Though I will admit that those talents, if you're good enough, are desirable.

My team is the best. Was. Whatever.

So am I supposed to just commit random criminal acts until the right people notice? Cuz I hate doing freebies.

Re: Arlin

[identity profile] kineticmachine.livejournal.com 2009-07-03 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Best is always relative.

Not necessarily. Merely running into the right people is enough. I understand our recruiter has a...knack for finding people on sight.
